Anna Dahl

The funeral of Mrs. Anna Dahl was held last Thursday afternoon. Brief devotional services were held at the home south of the Farmersville church at 2 p.m. and the services proper were held in the Swedish Lutheran church of the Farmersville settlement. Rev. Westerberg preached in Swedish.
Mrs. Anna Dahl was born in Elfsborg, Vastergotland, Sweden, on the 10th day of August 1859, and came to this country in the summer of 1877. She became a member of the Swedish Lutheran church of Farmersville in the fall of 1883, and was united in holy matrimony with J. Fred Dahl on the 26th day of March 1884. To this union were born four children, all living. Ten years ago Mrs. Dahl suffered a complete nervous breakdown, and ever since the 8th of May 1908, she was a patient at the Kankakee State Hospital. April 23, 1918, death relased her at the age of 58 years, 8 months, and 13 days. She is mourned by her husband, Mr. J. Fred Dahl, four children and two grandchildren. The children are Edward Victor, George Walter, Ellen Christine and Mrs. Edward Skog, all living in the Farmersville settlement. She leaves also three brothers and one sister, all residing in Sweden, except one brother, Charles Anderson of Ellensberg, Washington.
