Peter W. Johnson, one of the pioneers of Ford County, died Saturday evening at 7:30, aged about 77 years. Wednesday evening he received 2 stroke of paralysis from which he failed to rally, and from the time he was stricken until he died, he was totally helpless. For more than 45 years the deceased lived on a farm 9 miles west of Paxton, coming here from Bishop Hill, Henry County. His wife passed away a year ago last spring. The funeral took place Monday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Farmersville, of which the deceased was a member.
