John Frederick Dahl




Funeral services for Mr. John Frederick Dahl, whose sudden passing occurred Thursday morning in his home, were conducted Sunday afternoon in the family home and in the First Lutheran church. At the close of the services, entombement took place in Farmersville cemetery.
He was born in Sweden November 8, 1857. At the age of 12 years, he emigrated to America with his older brothers, coming directly to the Paxton community. In the year 1871 he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and remained true to this faith throughout his life.
On March 26, 1884, he was united marriage to Miss Anna Anderson of Paxton, who preceded him in death Arpil 23, 1918. Following the marriage, the new home was established on a farm in the Farmersville community. After the death of his wife, he retired and moved to Paxton, where he purchased his present home, where he and his daughter, Miss Ellen, resided together until his death.
Surviving him are two daughters, Miss Ellen at home, and Mrs. Edward Skog of this city, two sons, Edward V. of Farmersville, and Walter of the Rantoul community. There is also a brother, August Dahl, of Paxton, and 4 grandchildren.
