The funeral service of John Telander, who died at his home in Farmersville last Friday night at the advanced age of 79 years, were held from the Farmersville church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Forsberg, pastor of the church, conducted the services and read a poem dedicated to the deceased. Mrs. C. M. Johnson, Miss Hannah Johnson, and Chas. Fager of this city, attended the services. Mr. Telander emigrated from Sweden to this county in 1854, spending the first 14 years at Rockford. In 1868 he purchased a farm southwest of this city and has since resided upon it. He was a quiet citizen, but one of firm convictions, living an exemplary life.
