Solomon Telander

SOLOMON TELANDER SUCCUMBS; BODY BROUGHT HOME MONDAY NIGHT
Monday a.m. brought the news of the death of Solomon Telander which occurred at the hospital in Kankakee at 1:50. As stated in the Record several times of late, his condition has been very serious and many were doubtful as to whether he would be able to pull through. For the past 4 weeks he has not been well and each day he seemed to be getting a little worse. A week ago last Friday he became mentally deranged and he got so bad Sunday it was necessary to take him to the hospital for treatment.
Sheriff J. H. Nelson called to see him Sunday and when he left him in the evening he was just barely alive. He was unconscious and very weak.
Mr. Telander lived most of his life at Farmersville with this parents, and when they died some 5 years ago, he moved to Paxton where he has made his home most of the time with A. E. Sheldon and family. He has many friends in Paxton and the vicinity where he lived in the country who will miss him in the daily haunts of life. He was always ready to say a pleasant word and do what he could for his friends. Mr. John Newman went to Kankaee Monday afternoon and returned with the body that evening. The body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon on West Patton Street.
