Emma Anderson


Mrs. John B. Anderson, 95 of Burbank, California., a former resident of Paxton, died at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 1959, at the Wisteria Convalescent Home, Glendale, California, after suffering a stroke. She had been ill a year.
She was born January 15, 1864 at Boras, Sweden. Her mother's maiden name was Britta Magnuson. She came to Paxton in 1883. She was married to Charles R. Swanson in 1859 [sic] in Denver Colorado. They lived in Sibley, Gibson City and Varna. He died in 1901. she was married to John B. Anderson in 1905 and they moved from Ludlow to Burbank California in 1922. He died in 1944.
Surviving are 2 sons, Claude M. Swanson of Paxton, C. Victor Swanson, Ludlow, 6 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, 2 sisters, Mrs. Agnes Erickson, Tujunga California, Mrs. Ida Weiner, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The was a member of the Angelican Lutheran church, Los Angeles.
Funeral services for Mrs. John B. Anderson were held Sunday July 12 at the Ford Baier Funeral Home in Paxton. Mrs. Anderson, a former Paxton resident, died Thursday, July 9, at Glendale Calif. Rev. Philip Leaf of the First Lutheran Church in Paxton served as clergyman and interment followed the services at Farmersville Cemtery in rural Paxton.
