John B. Anderson

A message received in Paxton Thursday morning by State's Attorney Charles M. Swanson, from his mother, Mrs. J. B. Anderson of Burbank, California, brought word of the passing of Mr. Anderson, which occurred on Sunday at midnight from a heart attack.
Arrangements are being made by telephone to have the remains shipped to Paxton for funeral rites and entombment in Farmersville country cemetery west of Ludlow. Mrs. Anderson will be unable to make the trip.
The deceased, whose birth occurred on March 17, 1840, would have been ?? years of age had he lived until next month. He came with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, overland to the Farmersville community southwest of Paxton from Princeton Illinois in 1864. In 1906 he was married to Mrs. Emma M. Swanson of Gibson City and the home was continued west of Ludlow until 1922 when they moved to Burbank California.
Last summer they spent more than a month in Illinois visiting with the latter's son, State's Attorney Claude Swanson and W. Swanson and their families.
Mr. Anderson had a pleasing personality which had a lasting impression upon everyone who knew him. Burial was in the Farmersville cemetery.
